Dark Chocolate, Cherry and Almond Porridge

This healthy and filling breakfast option, packed with delicious cherries, can be made ahead of time for weekday mornings. There’s nothing better than sweetening your normal porridge recipe with the juicy and rich taste of cherry and chocolate.


Put the oats, cocoa and milk in a small saucepan and place over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until the oats are cooked though and the porridge is thick and dark. You may need to add more milk if it gets too thick.

Stir in one tablespoon of honey and transfer to a bowl. Top the porridge with the cherries, chopped almonds, dark chocolate and yogurt (if using). Drizzle with the remaining honey.
